Valve has kicked off their newest mutation, which features Gnome Chompsky, well known icon from the Guardin' Gnome achievement on Dark Carnival and the Little Rocket Man achievement in Half-Life 2: Episode Two. The mutation is much like the aforementioned achievements, namely the former, except for a few changes.

• The mutation allows the gnome to be carried through any campaign.
• The players start with the gnome at the beginning of the campaign.
• The infected will all focus on the gnome carrier.
• Carrying the gnome from start to finish is no longer optional: it is required to win.

The only thing that could make this task harder would be if Realism mode was enabled or if it was a Versus game type, I imagine. But, having thoroughly enjoyed getting the Guardin' Gnome achievement, I have no doubt that this game type will be a blast.
